News and Special Offers
We are currently working on a Mk3 Triumph Spitfire which will be ready (hopefully) for sping next year. I bought this as an unfinished project, there is still plenty to be done and it is difficult not to go 'over the top' on detail but we are working to a time frame so we will be keeping everything tidy and original as usual. Keep an eye on our facebook for regular progress reports.

Classic Cars and the Two Bridges Hotel
Mike Coombes of the Two Bridges Hotel contacted us a few weeks ago to see if we could provide a classic car for a short film they were making about the hotel. We had to wait a few weeks for a sunny spell but when the sun did come out we had a great couple of days filming including using a drone to film Meryl from above. Two Bridges is a beautiful hotel in a stunning location at the heart of Dartmoor. Famous for their warm welcome and special afternoon tea's The Two Bridges makes a great base to explore south Devon and on into Cornwall in your classic car. Two Bridges Classic Car Breaks.
Moving to Devon
After 12 years of providing self drive hire classic cars from Hamstall Ridware near Lichfield we are now moving to a new home in Ivybridge south Devon. Although the move is largely for personal reasons it does give me the chance to revitalise the business and go out and buy some new cars including a couple of great modern sports cars and a fun Jeep Wrangler for the beach bums. So should you find yourself holidaying in Devon then why not get in touch and call in and see us in our new home.
'Enjoying a classic' photo competition
We are always looking for great pictures to use on our web site and what better than real pictures of real people enjoying our classic cars.
The response to our first photo competition was has been amazing so we will be running this competition again for the whole of 2016 so let's hope for some good weather.
Police, Camera, Action!
Our Ford Zodiac has recently become a bit of a TV star. We provided the car for an episode of Police, Camera, Action showing the changes in car technology over the years. The production team filmed from inside the car and from outside with the Zodiac chasing the van. The finale was to have the Zodiac pulled over by the 80's Ford Granada police car as a link into the next scene. I think the presenter quite enjoyed driving the old Zodiac, keep a look out for the program in June/July.
A Little Bit of Rock N' Roll
The music industry took over our garage recently to shoot a video for a local singer. The producer was looking for an unusual looking car with sharp lines that would look good driving along an open highway. The production team contacted us to see if they could use our Triumph Vitesse and ended up turning our garage into a complete studio. The highway will be added in place of the green screen. I have no idea where the rabbit and the girls fit in but I am sure the finished product will look quite stunning.
OZ and our classic Champagne adventure
We recently had the pleasure of working with Sea France in entertaining a group of special guests in a unique trip to the Champagne region of France. The guide for the trip was none other than TV wine expert Oz Clark. The guests enjoyed driving our e-type, MKII Jaguar and our MGB in some of the most picturesque area's of France. I should add that once they had started sampling the Champagne the the driving was down to me and my team! The picture shows me topping up Oz's champagne glass on the return trip to Calais.
