Introduced in 1961 the Jaguar e-type took the motoring world by storm and still remains one of the most elegant and distinctive sports cars in the world. The Series 3 was the final incarnation of the model introducing Jaguars smooth and powerful 5.3 litre V12 engine.
This opalescent silver-grey E-Type was first delivered in 1972 by H.R.Owen, London and has had three owners since then. It was subject to a full restoration seven years ago and as well as benefiting from a complete respray, it was also fitted with six Weber carburettors, replacing the original four Zeniths. Webers not only allow the V12 to breathe a little better but they are easier to balance too and make the car more responsive. As a result, this E-Type is a great pleasure to drive. It also sits on slightly wider chrome wire wheels for improved handling.
The manual 4 speed gearbox is easy to use but it goes without saying that this car is involving as a drivers than an automatic.
Please note the e-type is operated by its owner and is located near Lifton, Devon. This car is NOT located at Wrangaton so you will be collecting the e-type from and returning the car to Lifton.
