Introduced in 1961 the Jaguar e-type took the motoring world by storm and still remains one of the most elegant and distinctive sports cars in the world. The Series 3 was the final incarnation of the model introducing Jaguars smooth and powerful 5.3 litre V12 engine.
This magnificent signal red Series III V12 E-Type was built in 1973 and is an original automatic British RHD car that has always been in this country; it was sold by Henlys London to its first owner in Cheshire in 1974. Many Series III E-Types were exported to the USA in LHD form and have since been reimported to the UK, some undergoing conversion to RHD and often resprayed a different colour. WKX 1M is therefore totally original with the only modifications being to the ignition and cooling systems to provide greater reliability. It sits on its original chrome wire wheels and its lines are beautiful with its hood up or down.
Power steering, the very smooth V12 engine and factory automatic transmission make driving this E-Type a breeze and the mohair hood raises and lowers very easily by releasing three fasteners retaining the hood to the windscreen. Dashboard instruments are easy to read with the main ones to watch being the water temperature and oil pressure gauges. We’ll give you a thorough introduction to the car before you set off and there is a comprehensive set of easy to read instructions in the car just in case you forget something!
Please note the e-type is operated by its owner and is located near Lifton, Devon. This car is NOT located at Wrangaton so you will be collecting the e-type from and returning the car to Lifton.
