It was great to meet Keith and Denise at the weekend. Keith had organised a day out in both our Morris Minor and our Triumph Herald as a special surprise for his wife Denise as part of their holiday in Devon. They stayed nearby and came over to our base at Wrangaton on Sunday morning. Denise had no idea what Keith had planned, I had both cars parked outside when they arrived and I heard Denise’s surprise and joy when she saw the classic cars and Keith told her they were taking the Morris Minor out for the day. As we went through the paper work Denise said that the only other car that held special memories was the Herald and then Keith told Denise they were taking that car out the very next day. Even though the recent weather had been poor, Sunday was a warm sunny spring day and just perfect for a tour in a classic Morris Minor with a picnic on board. Monday was more overcast and wet but Keith and Denise had a full day driving the Herald around South Hams.
The best part of my business is seeing the pleasure my classic cars can bring. It’s great to see the smiles on people’s faces as the memories come flooding back or a classic car making a special occasion that bit more special.
That makes all the hard work worth it.
